10. Wainwright Progress Tracker
Coming SoonThis section describes a planned feature not yet live. It is included here in advance so this policy remains accurate from the date of launch.
We intend to introduce an optional Wainwright Progress Tracker — a feature allowing registered users to log which of Alfred Wainwright's 214 Lake District fells they have completed, track their progress, and optionally share achievements.
When this feature launches, it will involve collecting and storing:
- →Account data — display name, email address, encrypted password
- →Progress data — which fells you have logged as completed, and optionally: completion dates, notes, and photos
- →Session data — authentication cookies to keep you logged in
- →Optional location data — only if you choose to log GPS routes, never collected passively
The legal basis for processing this data will be consent — you choose to create an account and can delete it at any time. All account and progress data will be deletable on request.
This policy will be updated with full implementation details — including data storage location, backup policy, and third-party processors — when the feature launches. Registered users will be notified of any material changes.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
